after eleven hours of sleep, I’m still tired.
Just two days ago I was doing the Application Question in Issues and Ideas; how Asians benefit from the increased intermingling between Eastern and Western cultures or something like that. One of the takeaway points was that Asians are no longer looked upon with double standards, something like how this guy’s not just the best Asian English author, but how he’s the best English author, that’s that.
And well today when my dad told me that Ice Age 3’s animator is a Singaporean, I was wondering if it still applies. I mean, what’s so surprising that the animator is Singaporean? Is it any different than when the animator’s American or something? Why is it that when someone awes that the animator is Singaporean, there’s this tinge of meaning behind it that Singaporeans are less likely to make it big, and that’s why there’s an extra honour if you’re Singaporean and an animator of a big movie? Well I asked my dad that, and he said it is so because there’re less opportunities for us in places like America. After all, Dreamworks is a big studio and company and whatnot. Anyhow, I don’t know if my point is valid or if it’s even making sense, but if it is that I guess the benefits from intermingling the two cultures aren’t showing through as they were in the article, heh.

Yesterdayyyy. After that break during which I last blogged, there was PW lesson which was totally slack-ish because the whole class except Cai Tong, Kim Yung, Jia Hua and me left the classroom to do EOM/PIP/whatever. So yeah ct ky and I just stoned around and laughed about in the classroom, it was pretty fun and nice. :)
Then there was Math Lecture; we went through the answer scheme for the Math paper. I really really tried not to doze off, and it took much effort to remain awake for at least 45 minutes of the time (the lecture lasted for around 50 minutes). Haha. There was Math Tutorial after that; Mr Loo returned us our scriptssss. Well I was expecting a 20/100 or something so I’m quite glad I didn’t get that, but to look on the whole I’m still below average and one of the lowest scorers in my class and all so I think there’s a severe need to work harder. =/ Bet I’ll forget that last line in 5 minutes. Haha.
CT Session was Class Contact Time, which was pretty alright I guess. And then school (finally) ended!
Comm meeting @ Salt Centre, outside the band room because we couldn’t get keys lol. Anyway I thought it was pretty neat, as in the meeting had a fixed agenda and went rather efficiently/on task/little sidetracking and all if you ask me. The meeting lasted 2 hours, with little sidetracking. That’s quite a bit of content ha. Which reminds me of how I’m still uncertain about the funds and all >( Haven’t had band prac in forever, I miss the random jammings especially.
Then it was home for dinner. Reached home at 8, had dinner/stoned till 9, bathed/lazed around (I’m seriously evolving into a pig) till 10, watched the television till 11, sleptttttttttttt till 10am. Wth lah I thought I’d sleep early to wake up early gah gah gah. Weirdly it didn’t feel too good to sleep in. Haha.
No combined today! Brass prac laterrrrr. :)

i think it’s mainly national pride lah. if i were an american and i hear of some american making it out in some zai field i’d feel proud too! (:
hmm makes sense. Haha I guess that can be the reason :)
